Outstanding Performance at PBL Nationals!

Nineteen members of Mesa State's Phi Beta Lamba received awards and recognitions at the National Conference in July 2010. Stephanie Nesbit earned two first place awards, in Leadership and in Project Management, and an 8th place in Management Concepts. Additionally, Alexa Williams was inducted into Who’s Who in PBL. New MSCBiz! Website Promotes Business Department

Students in the Computer Information Systems senior capstone course, CISB 471 Advanced Information Systems, completed the renovation and expansion of the MSCBiz.org website and the companion MSCBizERP.org website. The goals of the new websites are to promote the Business Department, foster a sense of pride, and build a spirit of community.

Bob Kretschman: Outstanding MBA Graduate

At the MBA Research Day on May 8, 2010, the MBA faculty honored Robert Kretschman as outstanding graduate for 2010. In addition to his superior academic work and practicum research, Bob also was the lead author on the won first prize in the graduate student division of the Mountain Plains Management Conference held at Mesa State in October 2009.

CIS Professors Slauson and Snyder Honored

Associate Professor Gayla Jo Slauson was honored at Mesa State College's 2010 Recognition and Awards ceremony for her twenty years of service to the College and her latest service activity, President of Faculty Senate. Dr. Johnny Snyder was recognized for his five years of service and, more importantly, for earning tenure and for his promotion to professor.

On May 5, 2010, at a reception on the ACB terrace, the Business Department announced its outstanding seniors for 2010 who will graduate with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. Lyndsay Yerbic and Edward Cart were awarded certificate of appreciation.
